Why Study Certificate II in English Proficiency at Alliance?
This nationally recognised qualification (11301NAT) is designed for students who want to develop practical English language skills for everyday communication, study, and employment opportunities. Students will build confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing English while learning to communicate effectively in a range of personal, social, and workplace contexts. The course supports students to improve their language proficiency and prepare for further study or employment pathways in Australia. For eligible students, this training is delivered with South Australian Government funding. Upon successful completion, participants will be issued a Certificate II in English Proficiency by Alliance College (RTO: 0137)

Study Pathways
After successful completion of the 11301NAT Certificate II in English Proficiency, students may progress to higher-level English language programs or vocational education and training qualifications. This course provides a strong foundation for further study pathways, including:
- 11302NAT Certificate III in English Proficiency

- SIT30821 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- AUR30620 Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology
- CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry
- BSB30120 Certificate III in Business
These pathways support students to continue developing their English language skills while transitioning into vocational training across a range of industries.
Entry Requirements
Eligibility for Subsidised Training:
- To be eligible for a government-subsidised training place in this course, you must live or work in South Australia and be:
- An Australian or New Zealand citizen; OR
- A permanent Australian resident; OR
- A holder of an eligible visa (Check the Skills SA website for the full list of eligible visa subclasses).
Additional Criteria:
- You must be aged 16 years or over; and
- You must not be enrolled in school.
- Satisfactory completion of Year 10 or equivalent schooling OR Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 3.
- Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) Core Skills Profile.

RPL and Credit Transfer:
