Why Study Diploma of Automotive Technology at Alliance?
Master the future of vehicle diagnostics and systems engineering with this nationally recognised qualification (AUR50216). This advanced Diploma reflects the role of individuals who perform a broad range of complex tasks on a variety of vehicles in the automotive retail, service, and repair industry. For eligible students, this training is delivered with South Australian Government funding. Upon successful completion, participants will be issued a Diploma of Automotive Technology by Alliance College (RTO: 0137).

Entry Requirements
Eligibility for Subsidised Training:
- To be eligible for a government-subsidised training place in this course, you must live or work in South Australia and be:
- An Australian or New Zealand citizen; OR
- A permanent Australian resident; OR
- A holder of an eligible visa (Check the Skills SA website for the full list of eligible visa subclasses).
Additional Criteria:
- You must be aged 18 years or over; and
- You must not be enrolled in school.
- Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Core Skills Profile.
Those undertaking the Diploma of Automotive Technology must have completed an automotive Certificate IV qualification in one of the following disciplines, or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency.
- AUR40216 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis
- AUR40816 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Overhauling (superseded by AUR40820)
