Latin American Masterclass – 1st Edition

Our students were lucky enough to watch guest Chef Gunawan Wu, guest Chef Gaspar Sa and guest Chef Katie Bae demonstrate amazing cooking skills and helped our students build a solid dessert, Latin American and Japanese cooking foundation.
During the Masterclass, Chef Gunawan Wu showcased to students his signature dish “Forbidden Tree” and also demonstrated several techniques crafting delicate decorations to enhance the dessert’s presentation.
Chef Gaspar Sa brought his local, sustainable twist to time- honoured traditions to the AHTS kitchen by sharing the richness of Latin American food through the art of food and flavour. Students were thrilled as they had the chance to learn step-by-step recipes and the chef’s renditions of one of Peru’s favourite: ceviche!
Chef Katie Bae demonstrated to our students the techniques to excel in preparing modern Japanese cuisine. Chef Katie Bae taught students how to make dishes that honour fresh ingredients with care and creativity.
