Government Funded Courses

You may be eligible for subsidised training if you live or work in Australia, and you are:

• an Australian or New Zealand citizen
• a permanent Australian resident, or
• an eligible visa holder

and are:

• 16 years or over and not enrolled at school

Alliance College offers a range of courses in Commercial Cookery, Patisserie, Automotive, and Hospitality.

Complete the Enrolment Form via Alliance College’s website and attach the supporting documents specified in the form.

Upon receipt of your application, you will be contacted to book an appointment with our admission team to attend the pre-enrolment suitability interview and LLN assessment. This is a government requirement to determine eligibility to access the subsidy.

During the pre-enrolment suitability interview, you will be required to demonstrate English language proficiency and we will discuss your academic background, motivation and goals, suitability to the qualification enrolled, personal and professional development plan, expectations about the course, support services, and support needs.

The LLN assessment is mandatory unless an exemption applies. The assessment needs to be completed under the supervision of Alliance College’s employees.

The Participant Agreement is to provide collection and use of personal information from the student, allocating him/her with a participant number within the Department for Innovation and Skills.

Upon successful completion of the assessments, you will be contacted by our admission team to confirm your eligibility for government funding and suitability for the qualification enrolled. Student fees will be finalised before a Confirmation of Enrolment letter issued and a training account created in the government portal.

With your course enrolment finalised, you can start organising your journey to success at Alliance College. Prior to classes commencing, you will be notified by e-mail regarding your orientation session where you will meet your trainers, learn about the school networks, online training resources, assessment submission, tutor support, health & safety and Alliance College’s policies and procedures. We strongly advise new students to participate.
